December Dress-Up Calendar
The Shapiro staff LOVES dress-up days! During the month of December, we invite our friends to dress up with us! Below is a list of our dress-up days each day. We hope that they are able to join us!
We Need Your Help
Once again, our health room is in need of some clothing for our students who may require a change of clothing, for various reasons. We are most in need of the following items:
Size 4-6 Boys Pants
Size 4-6 Girls Pants
Size 12 Girls Pants
These can be sweatpants, leggings, or any other new or gently used pants. (Elastic waistbands are super helpful!)
We appreciate any and all help you can give. Thank you, in advance, for your generosity!
Cold Weather Clothing
Winter is officially here to stay! With that being said, our students need to be prepared for the season changing and wearing appropriate clothing to match. Hats, gloves/mittens and jackets are necessary to be outdoors. If there is snow on the ground and your student would like to play in the snow, they MUST be dressed in snow pants and boots. Without snow pants and boots, students will be asked to stay on the blacktop.
Morning supervision is not available on our playground until 7:30am. Students are not to arrive before this time.
Thank you!
In line with district policy, and due to severe allergies within our school family, we ask that all dogs remain off the school grounds, with the exception of service animals. We ask that all service animals are not in contact with our students and staff.
There will be no school on Friday, December 8th, for Professional Development for staff.
Additionally, there is no school December 22nd- January 1st for Winter break. School will be back in session on January 2nd.

Volunteer Information
If you are looking to participate in any volunteer activities at our school (field trip chaperone, events, field day, etc.) you MUST have a background check submitted. This needs to be completed yearly. Once your form is approved, you will be set for the entire school year. The process is simple: 1) submit your background check by following THIS PROCESS 2) If an opportunity is available that you would like to volunteer at, just let your student's teacher know that you have submitted a form. From there, the office will be notified and the approval process will begin. Once your background check has been approved, your student's teacher will let you know!
Office Tips from Mrs. Molash
I wanted to take a moment to say how truly honored I have been to be a part of the Shapiro family the last few years. I will miss our whirlwinds so very much. If you see me out and about in the community, please be sure to say hello! I hope that you all have a wonderful holiday season!
If your student it going home with another student, or going home with someone NOT listed as an emergency contact, you must call the school office to verify. We cannot release your student from the building without verbal consent from the parent/guardian.
If you are calling in your student for any reason and need to leave a message, please call 920.424.0164 and select option "0." This will take you to the school office inbox where you can leave your details.
When leaving a message, please leave the first and last name of your student, their grade, and their reason for absence, including any symptoms they have if they are sick. If your student will be late for any reason, please let us know so that you can avoid receiving an "unexcused" call.
If you will be needing to pick your student up for an appointment or any other reason, please let us know in advance so that we may have your student ready.
Please let us know if you will be taking your student(s) out of school for an extended amount of time. You will need to fill out a Pre-Planned Absence Form if your student will be missing multiple days. Please contact the office to have a form sent home with your student, or you can print your own HERE
DATES TO REMEMBER:
